Last Weekend

Singapore, Ohh Singapore and Singapore! (new song ;D) *oops sorry high on chocolates maybe* =[

On the 31st of August 2008, my family and I were celebrating the country's National Day..in Singapore! :D erm..yes we're Malaysians. Okay there was no celebration in conjunction to that.
Anyway, after thinking twice, i decided to create a summary, short and brief. The pro(s): Saves both the author and reader's time =D

p/s: there weren't much pictures taken throughout the whole trip and some of the very few pictures that were taken turned out to be pretty blur, so bear with me teehee.

~Summary of the whole trip~

1st day: 29th August 2008, Friday - All set and ready for..Singapore! :D 6 passengers and few of our in-animate friends: the luggages, all nicely fitted into an Innova. Sweet.
After 5-6 long hours of traveling, *jeng jeng jeng* 'Welcome to Singapore'. Met up with the Chang family, had dinner and put up at their place. Nice family, kind and hospitable indeed.
Rest well and gear up for the next day!

2nd day
-Rise and Shine. Initial plan: Meet up with a few jurong youth in Jurong Point and have dinner with my sister(birthday treat) in the evening. Something came up and eventually a Plan B took over. Had brekkie with the Changs' and my sister afterwhich the adults went to Chinatown and the younger ones, *coughs* us :D went to Vivo City. Walked around and more or less window-shopped afterwhich the jurong youth came over and met us up in Vivo. and so after 2 hours or so of walking, we stepped into Ben & Jerry's (apparently better than Baskin Robbins, so they say). *no comments* but but but, we all enjoyed the oh-so-wonderfully-delicious ice-cream! 3 flavours in a pint: strawberry cheesecake, new york chocolate and cherry something. :) Daren (sis bf) then joined in later, while we were having ice-cream.

See the 'Ben & Jerry's' sign on top? :)

explain the mess on the table? *you might think*
Trust me when i say this: it wasn't all ours, in fact the crumpled tissues and that blue cap empty bottle thing was already on the table when we went and sit there.
(no other choices, full house)

Take a closer look.

Hm..just the cups, un-used tissues and the folded tissue were ours :p

and so moving on, Window-Shopping and then..*minor highlight of the day* Candy Empire!!! Walk in and you'll see all sorts of candies, chocolates etc. The temptation..Irresistable! :(
(WAIT, IT'S CHOCOLATES) ok, change :) And so eventually i bought some candies and chocolates. Slight boredom came upon all of us and so we decided to sit in Mcds, have a drink and chit-chat. Random Picture:

Evening came, and the Chang siblings, the 3 of us (siblings) as well as Daren, then took the MRT and met up with the adults in Jurong Point for..Niy Niy's (spelled backwards) Birthday Treat! Kushinbo!!! So it was a Japanese Buffet and trust me..it was throughly a satisfying meal! Enjoyed it so very very much! A birthday cake was brought along but due to the 'fullness' in all of our stomachs, we then decided to go back (to the Chang's residence first) and then cut the cake.

Happy 21st Birthday Yin!

Mrs.Atkinson's Icing Cake! (all the way frm M'sia)

Happy Independent 21st 'che'! :)

Daren & Yin Yin

3rd Day
-Went to LAP Church of Christ in the morning, and then some members brought us to 'Sketches' in Bugis Junction for lunch after church. Authentic Italian Food! Design your own pizza and pasta..mmm yummy! Had penne with pesto sauce. Go Green they say! didn't expect pasta to be so environmental friendly as well..the whole thing was green in colour with lots and lots of mushrooms (shitake mushrooms :D) on top, ham, chicken meat etc. Never judge a book by its cover they say..guess what? It turned out to be quite nice, no i mean it was delicious, seriously :)
So the night came and we went for dinner in uncle benny and aunty cecie's place. Nice place, good food, and a good-nice dog!

Meet Pepper!

and his rat *horrid scream*
(wait..it's fake, just his precious toy rat) ;D

4th Day
Home Sweet Home.

Byebye Singapore!
